Dear friends of Japan Prize,
The JAPAN PRIZE 2016 will be accepting entries from this coming Friday, April 1st.
In the Audiovisual Division, there are five categories for entry. We welcome such excellent educational contents as innovative new themes, methods and technology or facing contemporary social problems head on.

<Categories in the Audiovisual Division>
1. Pre-school Category (up to around age 6)
2. Primary Category (around ages 6 to 12)
3. Youth Category (around ages 12 to 18)
4. Lifelong Learning Category (around ages 18 and over)

1-4 Applicable media: TV programs, Films, Videos

5. Creative Frontier Category (Pre-school/Primary or Youth/Lifelong Learning)

5 Applicable media: Websites, Games, Apps and Cross-media contents


<Prize>
The Best Work in each category: US$2,000
Grand Prix Japan Prize: US$5,000 (selected among the Best Work of all categories)
Special Prize (two prizes): US$2,000
There is no entry fee.

In the TV Proposal Division, proposals for TV programs which aim to contribute to education in an entrant’s country/region are welcomed. As the division was established for the purpose of supporting the realization of ideas for educational television programs in countries/regions with limited budgets and facilities, the countries/regions eligible for entry are limited.
