This historical drama opens with a high school student doing a presentation on slavery. This first episode in the series is about villagers working peacefully on the West African coast. They are packed into a ship like sardines in a can and transported to the United States. The reproduction of the scenes is from the viewpoint of the villagers who are forced into slavery, and the story powerfully affects viewers.
