[COMMENTARY]
Born in 1958. After graduating from the Faculty of Direction of Tashkent Theatre Institution, where he studied directing, Musakov completed the High Course of Film Direction in Moscow. SOLDIER'S TALE (1989) won him the Grand Prix at the Moscow International Film Festival "Debut-l". In 1991, he also received the prize for the Best Film in Uzbekistan for ABDULLAZHAN, THE UFO KID.
Sadik receives a watch from his father on his tenth birthday, who tells him that if he winds it every morning without fail, then some day all his wishes will come true. Upon reaching his middle age, Sadik recalls what his father said, and realizes that he has the power to work miracles. Sadik first attempts to use this rare gift to benefit his close friends. But, with the power of miracles awakened, Sadik and his friends find themselves driven into an unforeseen corner.
Trust, hope, love, friendship...this film poses questions about eternal values of such virtues. |
