Born in Ulan Bator in 1956, Uranchimeg is a female director for whom the Mongolian film industry has great expectations. She studied screenwriting at the Soviet National Film University in Moscow and then began writing for film and stage. She made her directorial debut in 1991 with SHACKLES followed by this film.
After the collapse of socialism, privatization of livestock in Mongolia is finally recognized. Aranzal, the son of old Danzan is allotted a scrawny red horse.
