| In the web division, 25 websites from 15 countries, including
China, the Philippines and South Africa competed. The sites were aimed at both
children and adults and taught subjects as diverse as sport, cooking, genetics
and politics. Each one enhanced the television program from which it grew in a
variety of different ways. Some made a creative use of video-on-demand and popular
television characters, and others used message boards and imaginative games and
activities to engage users. Whatever technique was chosen, they were all exploding
with color and sounds and hours of fun. The exceptional production values of each
entry will certainly set a new standard for educational websites in the future. |
