[SYNOPSIS]
Ashley is a young single-mother living in the southern part of Texas, struggling to regain custody of her son. Engulfed in anger, she is leading a messy life, while neither her career nor private life is working out well. Her estranged father's visit makes her become a coyote. When a female illegal immigrant gets lost while crossing the Rio Grande at midnight, Ashley ends up taking the woman's young daughter along. Abbie Cornish gives a powerful performance in this film.

David Riker
David Riker lived in several countries in Europe in his childhood. After attending NYU, he got involved in photojournalism and documentary filmmaking. His first feature, "The City", a story of Latin American immigrants living in NYC, which took him 5 years to complete, received numerous awards, including Student Academy Awards. In order to do some research for his next film, "The Girl", he, with his family, has moved to Mexico where the story takes place.

[SYNOPSIS]
It takes place in the National School of Buenos Aires, right before Guerra de las Malvinas (the Falklands Conflict.) Maria Teresa, a new discipline monitor, learns the strict disciplinary code of the school and starts to make students rigidly obey the rules. One day, she faintly smells cigarette and hides herself in the men's bathrooms to catch a smoker…Based on Martin Kohan's "Ciencias Morales" awarded Premio Herralde de Novela, this film reveals inside story of the school isolated from the society.

Diego Lerman
After studying visual/audio design at the University of Buenos Aires, he studied editing in Cuba. His first feature, "Suddenly (Tan de Repente)" received awards at 24 International Film Festivals, including Locarno, Havana and Istanbul. His next film, "Meanwhile (Mientras Tanto)", was premiered at the Venice Film Festival. He has made other highly acclaimed shorts and documentaries.

Lucile Hadzihalilovic
Lucile Hadzihalilovic studied Art History at the Sorbonne, and filmmaking at the IDHEC.In 1990, she founded "Les Cinemas de la Zone" with Gaspar Noe. She wrote/ directed "Mimi" and "Innocence", which received numerous awards at the various festivals around the world for her unique view of the world and visual beauty. In "Evolution", she will incorporate elements of Sci-fi and horror to portray a deep and vivid world.

Childhood friends Mitsuo and Nijiko are in high school. Nijiko has an enormous potential as a speed skater. Mitsuo has been intently watching her, who always desperately searches after something. Nijiko has challenged, laughed away and run all her life, while her SPEED has constantly incremented as she grows. And soon, that SPEED starts to scrape her soul…The two teenagers gradually mature in the mixture of dashing youth and speed skating. It is a story of "SPEED" of two young kids.

qurata kenji
qurata kenji was born in Gifu Prefecture. He started filmmaking in 1993. His medium-length "Mystery of Akane-cho" received Digital Garage Award at the Yamagata International Movie Festival and screened at the Chanoma Film Festival in Los Angels. He founded Planning/Direction Coyote and works as a filmmaker/writer. "Speed Girl" is his first feature film.
