[SYNOPSIS]
Hunter is a young Cherokee, with a Caucasian father. A hemophiliac Hunter needs to avoid any injury, resulting in isolation from his friends and his father who is good at hunting. Feeling the need to prove himself, Hunter tries to kill a buck to be a hero. He, however mistakenly kills a doe.

Randy Redroad

Randy Redroad has written and directed three films, including HAIRCUTS HURT and HIGH HORSE, named the best short film at the American Indian Film Festival and best film at Festival d'Amiens, France. Redroad won the prestigious Rockefeller Foundation Intercultural Film Fellowship prior to attending the Sundance institute Producers Conference and Filmmakers Lab in 1994. THE DOE BOY is his debut feature.
