Web-based Media Technologies for Diverse Viewing Environments

The IoT-based Media Framework presents the broadcaster’s content tailored to the user’s conditions in diverse aspects by using three types of information: content description (expressing content information), environment description (expressing device capabilities, etc.), and user context (expressing the user's situation, interests, preferences, etc.).

By exploiting the presentation capabilities of IoT devices used in various daily-life settings, the framework makes it possible to offer viewing experiences that had not been possible before. For example, information can be presented in situations where viewers had difficulty viewing content.
