Automatic Picture-in-Picture Creating System
～Automatic creation of small picture with AI facial recognition technology!～
To achieve efficient program production, NHK has developed a system that recognizes the persons captured by a camera (e.g. a studio camera) using AI technology. The developed system automatically generates multiple small pictures within a larger picture. This system is currently being used in the news program “Okonomi Wide,” produced by NHK Hiroshima Station. We aim to expand this system to broadcasters nationwide.
