Tailoring Light Waves: Future 3D imaging technologies

3D video can be used to create extremely immersive and realistic content. In this Lab Talk, we combine digital technologies with analog light-wave technologies to capture and display high-definition 3D video. In particular, we describe a light-phase detection technology used in the Computational Photography exhibit, and introduce basic research initiatives at NHK STRL to create future 3D image-capture technologies.
