For over forty years, British journalist Robert Fisk has been reporting on the horrors of war from conflict zones in the Middle East. This documentary film traces back Fisk’s career and uncovers what drives him. For Fisk, there is nothing more important than going to the scene and reporting on what he hears and sees firsthand. For decades, he has been fighting against people’s indifference and attempts by various powers to conceal the truth. His fury is evident when he talks about how he keeps reporting so that “no one can say ‘this didn’t happen’ or ‘we didn’t know’.” Why do conflicts continue to arise? What does it mean to be neutral? And how do you find the truth? The importance of this “old kind of journalism” resonates in today’s world of fake news and disinformation.
