Francois Bertrand

Camera Lucida Productions
Francois Bertrand has run Camera Lucida, an independent production company whose objective is to produce documentary films, short-films and feature-length movies in collaboration with authors, directors and artists. He is also a producer and director. There is a strong desire to focus on new forms and define new ways of working creatively.

His productions focus on cultural themes and he has created important links with various art institutions, from "The hidden life of masterworks" and "PHOTO" collection by Stan Neumann – jointly produced with the Louvre and the Centre Pompidou – to "Un automne musicale a Versailles" by Olivier Simonnet, jointly produced with the Chateau of Versailles and the CMBV (Versailles Baroque music center).

In cinema, he has produced and directed "Van Gogh: Brush with Genius", the first ImaxR film about art, in partnership with the Musee d'Orsay and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. The film has won several major prizes.
