Lavender Fields in Furano

Imagine yourself strolling in a field of lavender as far as the eye can see, the scent of its flowers seeping into every pore. That is Furano, at the foot of Mt. Tokachidake in central Hokkaido, famous for its lavender oils used in incense and perfumes, and its scenic train rides through the flower fields from June to October.
