NO MORE HIBAKUSHA

This site features nuclear weapons, the devastation they cause, and nuclear disarmament. It provides messages against war and nuclear tests from "Hibakusha", the people exposed to radiation from the atomic bombings in Japan or from nuclear tests carried out elsewhere around the world. Visitors to this site are also welcome to share their views and express their desire for nuclear disarmament.

Explore Hiroshima

This site holds numerous photographs and maps which give a graphic portrayal of the devastation unleashed against Hiroshima by the atomic blast of 6 August 1945. It conveys the cherished sentiments of Hiroshima's residents and their fervent desire for peace.

NAGASAKI x PEACE

This Japanese-language site provides a gallery of pictures produced by people who experienced or subsequently witnessed the devastation caused by the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. It also has a selection of clips in which survivors recount the tragedy that struck on 9 August 1945.

Letters from Hibakusha

This Japanese-language site features many of the letters from people of all ages that were submitted for or in response to "Hibakusha kara no Tegami" (Letters from Hibakusha), a television and radio program aired by NHK Hiroshima Station on the evening of 8 August 2009.

The NHK Peace Archives hold the numerous radio and television programs NHK has produced over the years relating to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, nuclear issues, and peace. Details are provided of the programs that can be viewed (or heard) at NHK Program Libraries around Japan.
