The GTV program: "Tameshite Gatten" (which means 'Experience and Understand' in Japanese) is a life science program which answers questions and considers wonders that we experience in our daily life. Scientific experiments and unique research will be featured until we reach a full understanding and have satisfied our curiosity.

A "Tameshite Gatten" on a national holiday is a special edition of the show which is presented in a quiz style. A special quiz program which is to be broadcast on Culture Day, Wednesday, November 3, features the object, person, and place which are considered No.1 in Japan. When they prove the No.1s in a Gatten style, we are sure to be convinced of the reason why they are No.1 in Japan.
For this program, an image of a luminous silkworm which was filmed by a New Super HARP camera developed by the Laboratories is to be used as one of the subjects.
This camera has been used in areas such as science programs which take advantage of the cameras performance and ability to take clear pictures even in the dark. Recently, it took a beautiful image of a legendary aurora. This image of the luminous silkworm is also a precious coverage made possible only by the new Super HARP camera.
