We are pursuing the research and development of a thin, lightweight large-screen sheet display. This display uses organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). The display will enable the enjoyment of attractive images in Super Hi-Vision on a large screen at home. Here, we exhibit an 8K sheet-type display that four 4K panels are aligned together. The display is compatible with a frame frequency of 120 Hz and has much greater brightness than the one we developed last year.

Features

Very thin structure using OLED

A self-emissive type of OLED has been used for the display’s structure. The display does not need a backlight. As a result, the display, including the backboard, has a thickness of about 2 mm.

Moving pictures with a frame frequency of 120Hz and high brightness

A screen of OLED combines high contrast with a wide viewing angle. Furthermore, it can smoothly show moving pictures at a frame frequency of 120 Hz.

Experience the feeling of presence with a large screen

The large 130-inch display screen has 8K resolution, which gives viewers the feeling of actually being there.
