This is a service for live broadcasts where real-time data of each game (e.g.competitors’ names, start lists, official scores and so on) is used to automatically generate Japanese text that describes the progress of the game, which is read out using speech synthesis.

Although information that can be gathered by looking at the screen is often not actually described in TV audio, an automatic audio description can explain the progress of a game in great detail. By listening to both the TV audio and the automatic audio description, it is possible for people with visual impairment or anyone else who is unable to watch the video (car drivers, for example) to enjoy the program fully.
