Structure

The current complex of the NHK Science & Technology Research Laboratories was completed in March 2002.. It is the third research complex to bear the STRL name.

Experimental studio
A large studio for studies on super-surround audio-visual broadcasting systems and creative content production.
ISDB laboratory
A laboratory for studies on multimedia broadcasting services for realizing human-friendly reception environments.
Acoustic anechoic room/
A laboratory for research that includes future sound media and new audio program production equipment.
Device foundation laboratory
A clean room used for research and development of advanced imaging/recording/display devices and materials.
