Planning for a small, elliptical low earth orbit satellite, STRL engineered and manufactured an A-type satellite (approx. 10 kg) for one audio channel and a B-type satellite (approx. 45 kg) for one TV channel. They also conducted various tests, such as vibration/impact tests and thermal vacuum tests using a space chamber at the newly established space environment laboratory.
