NHK Digital Curriculum

On Internet
School programming is now on the Internet!
Four Easy-to-use Contents
You can access different types of content on the NHK Digital Curriculum service by switching between the four colored buttons at the top: 1.Broadcast programs 2.Short educational footage clips 3.Educational pages with quizzes and games 4.Lesson plans and worksheets for teachers. You can use it in the same way no matter what grade or subject.

TV Programs
You can watch educational programs any time you want on the Internet. Up to now you had to create a schedule based on broadcast times. There were many problems matching the progress of classes with programs due to differences in school events and textbooks. Using the Internet not only solves these problems, it allows children to study what they are interested in and review information they are not completely comfortable with.
Video Clips
This is a video encyclopedia where you can view 1-3 minute movies. For example, if you want to find out more regarding the Integrated Studies class "All about Rice," you can view movie clips of rice planting, budding, little creatures in the rice paddies, and how to cook rice. We currently hold over 3,000 clips.
Activities
You can use learning materials for each of the programs. For example, on the "All about Rice" homepage, there are materials like quizzes and games that are related to the program content. Also, there are FAQs where farmers and scientists answer questions that were emailed in by children. Finally there are vocabulary lists and links to assist your research.
