In September 2010, Foreign Ministers' Meeting over the "nuclear disarmament" was held at the United Nations. As the world's only country that has suffered from atomic bombs, Japan has been asked again about its role to take now. The Three Non-Nuclear Principles, "not possessing, not producing and not permitting the introduction of nuclear weapons into Japan", has been a national policy, but the "new facts" have been revealed and that could shake the trust of the country. In late 1960s, under extraordinary secrecy Japanese government was advancing the consideration on the possession of nuclear weapons. Behind the "Three Non-Nuclear Principles", how has Japan been facing the nuclear issues? By examining the independently acquired confidential documents and the testimonies of the people involved in the situations, the program questions the role Japan should take toward the nuclear disarmament.
