An investigative report on the actual damage caused by the atomic bomb, an extensive work of 181 books or 10,000 pages, had remained sitting on a shelf in the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration. Though it had been compiled by a Japanese medical research group of some 1300 members. Though this important document had been put to use in the post-war nuclear development in the United States, it had not served for the benefit of the atomic bomb victims in Japan. Based on the findings of the long-sealed report, the program examines how Japan has dealt with the reality of the atomic bomb.
