Dr. Takashi Nagai came down with leukemia after the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, but remained in the city to write messages of peace until his death. Many of his unpublished letters and manuscripts were discovered in 2000, the 50th anniversary of his death. The program reviews the life of Dr. Nagai, a symbolic figure of the Nagasaki bombing, and describes his appeals for peace.
