Toshiko Saeki was in Hiroshima on 6 August 1945, the day the atomic bomb was dropped on the city. She made a desperate search for her family in the devastated city. Toshiko lost her mother and her younger sister, while she herself suffered from the painful after-effects of the blast. After the war, Toshiko decided to narrate the experiences of herself, trying to make younger generations aware of the precious nature of peace.

In this program, Toshiko Saeki tearfully relates her experiences to a group of children at NHK Hiroshima, telling them about the horrors of the atomic bomb, and about the loss of people in her family.
