NHK has aired numerous radio and
TV programs relating to the atomic bombings and peace ever since those
tragedies occurred. Approximately 400 of such programs are stored in the
NHK Archives.
The Open Program Library, which commenced in 2003, will establish
a Peace Archives section from 2005, and is working to obtain copyright
clearance for the public viewing of as many programs as possible.
A search for the available programs can be made from the NHK Archives
website. The site now provides more details of the programs, including
samples of moving and still images. Please also refer to the information
on English language versions.
