- This is the home page for the NHK Peace Archives Program Library
Catalogue (Dated: June 1, 2005). Updates will be made as further
programs for public viewing and listening are added.
- This site outlines the Peace Archives and introduces programs
available nationwide for general public viewing and listening
at the Program Library.
The Peace Archives at the Program Library makes past NHK programs
on the atomic bombings and peace issues available for viewing
and listening by the general public. This booklet presents a brief
chronology of the events of the times when the programs were produced
to provide users with a general historical overview. This is not,
however, intended to serve as a complete record. For further details,
the user is recommended to refer to The History of Broadcasting
in the 20th Century.
- The site is based as closely as possible on the published pamphlet
but some photographs have had to be omitted due to property right
issues, etc. Some changes have also been made to the layout, and
photographs added, in order to make the best use of the web site
medium.
- There are two ways to search for programs on this site and
find information about them:
- The List of Programs for Public Viewing and Listening shows
all programs currently available. Select a program from the
list for a link to the program details.
- Photographs, titles etc. of programs available for public
viewing and listening are also shown in historical order beneath
the chronology of atomic bombing and peace-related broadcasts.
You can access program details by selecting programs from
there.
