Required Materials for Preliminary Selection
A) TV programs, movies, video material
Among the below, (1) and (2) are mandatory.
(1) English version (subtitled or dubbed ) of two copies of DVD-R or DVD+R
*When submitted, all programs must be without commercials and promotional materials and as they were first broadcast or released without any re-editing of the content (including graphics or scenes).
(2) Text data of the English script (preferably on CD-R)
(3) One copy of relevant documents such as textbooks, brochures or articles related to the program, as available
B) Websites
Among the below, (1) and (2) are mandatory. (4) is required for websites without English pages.
(1) Two copies of demonstration video up to 10 minutes (subtitled or dubbed in English) in DVD-R or DVD+R as a guide to see the whole design/structure of the website.
(2) English text data explaining the whole design and contents such as sitemaps
(preferably on CD-R)
(3) One copy of relevant documents such as textbooks, brochures or articles related to the website, as available
(4) A brief English translation of the main page (required) and recommended pages, if any (for productions without an English version)

C) Games
Among the below, (1) to (4) are mandatory. (7) is required for games without an English version.
(1) Three copies of the game software.
If it is necessary to return the game, please specify that in the entry form. In case game software is not playable with PlayStations including PSP, Wii, Nintendo 3DS, XBOX, computers, etc., three consoles must also be submitted.
[For online games]
Please provide the online game application and necessary information to download or play with user name and password. If it is not playable with the information provided, three consoles with installed application must be submitted.
[For mobile phone games]
Please provide three mobile phones with the game installed and a battery charger.

(2) One copy of game script in English. (Preferably on CD-R)
(3) Two copies of demonstration video up to 10 minutes (subtitled or dubbed in English) on DVD-R or DVD+R to show the whole design/structure of the game
*This must include screen transitions from the beginning to the ending to show the overall game design.
(4) English text data explaining the game design and content such as charts, transition diagrams, and etc. (preferably on CD-R)
(5) Saved data to play the entered game in the first stage, middle stage, and final stage of the game or its alternatives (highly recommended)
(6) One copy of relevant documents such as textbooks, brochures or articles related to the game, as available (highly recommended)
(7) A brief English translation of the basic operation instructions (required) and recommended screens, if any, (for productions without an English version)

D) Other interactive materials
Among the below, (1) to (3) are required, (4) is highly recommended. (5) is required for productions without an English version.
(1) Three copies of the application or software
If it is necessary to return the game, please specify that in the entry form. In case the application or software cannot be used by any consoles in the JAPAN PRIZE Secretariat, three consoles must also be submitted.
*If it is a package of multimedia platforms, three copies of one core element software or application in the package must be submitted. If you have any problems, please consult with the JAPAN PRIZE Secretariat
(2) Two copies of demonstration video up to 10 minutes (subtitled or dubbed in English) on DVD-R or DVD+R as a guide to the overall design and how to use the material.
