Rabbit and Deer is an epic story of two friends trying to find their way back to each other after being separated by dimensions. I believe that Péter Vácz’s film with its universal subject and its visual and emotional complexity is an important piece of art to inspire and teach both children and a dults.
It has won over 100 awards at international festivals despite the cultural and language barriers which shows that the language of love is universal and it is very important to talk about. The President of NHK Prize from the JAPAN PRIZE is a very special one and it is very close to our heart. I’m proud that Rabbit and Deer was produced behind the walls of Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design and that it became one of the ikons of the Hungarian animation art.
