Trailblazing education and game development visionary Lucien Vattel is at the forefront of a nationwide crusade to revolutionize learning in the classroom and beyond. As the CEO of the Los Angeles-based interactive curriculum creator and digital publisher GameDesk, Vattel is transforming the traditional school model into a hands-on, digitally-charged ecosystem for students to discover and nourish their greatest gifts, while embracing STEM skills through game-based learning. Recently listed as one of the top 10 most innovative education companies in the world by Fast Company—and the founder of the PlayMaker School, Vattel is noted as a 2014 global pioneer for learning spaces by MindShift. He has spent over 15 years evolving the learning space through gaming, simulation, and school model design. Lucien recently founded and launched in partnership with AT&T, Educade.org, and the largest online compendium for standards-aligned, play-based lesson plans to help teachers innovate their classrooms. Previously, Lucien co-founded and co-created the game development program in Computer Science at the University of Southern California, where he also served as faculty lecturer.
