Found One! is an educational variety show for ages 4-5, designed to gently push small children towards personal growth by making them aware of concepts such as health, human relations, the environment, words, and expressions. In this episode, Sabo is hurt when Cossie and Sui take all the housework he does for granted and turns into a cactus, which forces the other two to rethink their actions. The show is written in a way that entertains children while allowing them to discover various aspects of growing up, such as the fun of playing with friends, the mysteries of life, the joys of accomplishing things on one’s own, and the importance of empathizing with others.

Found One! began broadcasting in 2009 as a program for 4-to-5-year-olds. Now in its third year, the staff are overjoyed that the program received the Best Work in Pre-school Category. Continuously producing 100 episodes a year, each aiming to provide new discoveries and excitement for the sincere joy of the children, proves to be sometimes difficult. We often worry over the themes and how best to convey them in an understandable manner. However, the jurors, who are professionals of children’s programs, evaluated the program as “speaking directly to its target audience.” This comment itself gives us the power to proceed with confidence. With continuing emphasis that the “chair = a place for children to belong,” we would like to start afresh in our endeavors to create a heartwarming program that will bring comfort and reassurance to children.

Found One! is a pre-school series that works on many levels by providing both important lessons told in a dynamic way intermixed with light-hearted moments. The program used a variety of live-action and animation styles that keeps viewers engaged throughout.  It’s important for a preschool series to show its young viewers other preschoolers facing fears and challenges – Found One! does this brilliantly.  In one segment we watch a boy attempt to climb a rope obstacle-course. The challenge brings him to tears but in the end he succeeds – it’s these types of situations that speak directly to its preschool audience.  Found One! consistently uses simple concepts to reach its age group to ensure that educational goals are achieved.
