Willem Wever episode 6
Organization Nederlandse Christelijke Radio Vereniging (NCRV)
Country Netherlands
*Winner of the Japan Foundation President's Prize
In Willem Wever, the host attends to typical questions children (and their (grand) parents) break their heads about. This episode asks "Do woodpeckers get headaches?" "Why isn't extra money printed for the poor?" and "How is leather made?" Together the host and the child embark on an adventurous quest for the answers to these pressing questions, visiting the people who have all the answers and making sure that no secrets remain unveiled. Each episode of Willem Wever contains three items for approximately 7 minutes duration.
After receiving questions about popular science from children, the producer tries to explain complex matters in a simple and understandable way for children aged 8 to 12 years old. Information is presented in a most attractive way so that learning can also be entertaining for children.
