[Jury Comments]
Several programs dealt with natural history and the environment from the point of view of the animal, but this program was exceptional in its imaginative use of technology to capture extraordinary close-up images. Creative use of sound and visual perspective conveyed the life of a small insect in a large world, a situation to which a young child can relate. The narration used a skillful mixture of humor, story-telling and fact and this combination allows the child to learn through empathy.
