[Content]
This is the third episode in a series aiming at developing thinking about what culture is and about understanding and respect for different cultures in a multi-ethnic society. Production of this exciting magazine style program is planned and carried out by children themselves. In this episode, children look at a sampling of the foods, languages and music of Africa. They consider the questions "What is culture?" and "What is identity?" through real-life experiences, an interview and discussions.

[Jury comments]
The program was lively and enthusiastic. It should be useful in fostering children's mutual understanding of races and cultures in South Africa and is therefore worthy of winning this particular prize.
