Aired: May 12, 2011In the town of Namie in Fukushima Prefecture two months after the earthquake and tsunami, the search for the missing is stalled by the meltdown at the Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. Radioactive contamination in the town is high, requiring a much longer period of evacuation than originally thought, and decomposition of human remains is making it difficult to identity them . Standing fast in the face of these horrors are members of the local Chamber of Commerce youth group. Among them is a crane operator contributing to the cleanup at the nuclear plant, and the manager of an iron factory who is making meals for evacuees. This program examines the determination of these young people to recover the future of their town.
