The fact that I come from a different culture, or that I have a different way of thinking and behaving doesn't make me less than the rest, doesn't make me inferior.




ELISA comes from an indigenous town so her daily practices were very different from those of the city where she went to high school. Those differences made her hide her roots, for fear of her classmates’ jokes. They would bully her not only because of her origins, but also because of the way she dressed or talked. That experience changed when she started college and she understood that her identity was something to be proud of.
