ENG, conventional film documentaries gradually disappeared from television.
Their place was taken by information programs, which could be produced
more quickly,efficiently and economi-cally. |
In contrast to the old investigative documentary style, in which directors
and writers spent weeks or even months developing a single project,
information programs were team productions that could quickly process
current events and issues into finished programs ready for broadcast.
