Ultra High Speed Color Camera

Outline

NHK has developed an ultra high speed camera which can shoot at a maximum speed of one millionth of a second, far faster than conventional high speed cameras.  Not only that, its high sensitivity allows the use in a normal lighting condition.  It has been used in the coverage of baseball games, golf tournaments and gymnastic competitions so far.  Its smooth slow-motion replays of the actions at the decisive moment, which cannot be captured by the naked eyes, has added an innovative image expression to the program production.
