The theme is free. - We want visual work made with the digital method , such as CG, Media Arts, Installation art works, web arts and so on. - Any genre is acceptable. - Please note the name of the artist whom you want to show your work if you have. - Stationary portraits are acceptable. - Music work only is not acceptable. Please put pictures with the music. How to Apply - Please send your work with "the necessary information for the Application" attached. (Basically video tapes such as VHS, mini DV, or Hi 8 with attached, MO, Zip, or CD-ROM are acceptable.) - When you send your work as Digital Data, it should be basically self playback system. (For example, animation should be Quick Time of self playback system.) - Please be sure to include the credits (the title and your name). - Submissions can not be returned. Copyright - The copyright belongs to the maker (or the group submitting the work). - NHK has the exclusive right to broadcast your submission until the end of the year following the year you applied. For example, if you submit artwork in July 2004, NHK has broadcast right until December 31, 2005. - During this period, any profitable activity using the work or to use of it In any other media is not permitted. - The works submitted may be used to promote the understanding of NHK programs as follows: 1) Use as an NHK program 2) Use for NHK publicity and research. 3) Exhibition in international and domestic competitions. 4) Use for international and domestic public activities. 5) Broadcast on international and domestic TV stations and CATV. 6) Use at international and domestic events. 7) Publishing in magazines and on the Internet. The work may be edited. NHK has the right to broadcast the works that are chosen until March 31, 2003. In case of any other activity, another contract will be made with the applicant.
