Nature Wonderland

Program information

Nature Wonderland is a series of natural history documentaries that started in April 2006. April 2010 will mark its fifth anniversary since then.

Many amazing wildlife stories that can be described as “Marvels” are still waiting to be found. The precious natural history of our planet should be passed on to future generations.

Many marvels have been revealed in the series so far. The following titles are only a few of them;

  • Getting closer to a coelacanth
  • Searching for the elusive armadillo
  • A spectacular gathering of 1,200 hippos
  • Witnessing a fight between a hawk and wasps
  • Documenting the spectacular dance of a mysterious fish ( The Sailfin snapper)
  • Fishing fish; The Frogfish

A variety of wildlife, from local habitats such as our backyard, to undiscovered animals from the farthest reaches of our planet, is introduced in this series. We have featured a number of great stories about wild life which were seen on TV for the first time.

Gathering the latest information from around the world, we are locating amazing new marvels. Advanced technology, such as high-speed cameras and 'animal-cams' tiny cameras attached to the body of an animal are used to show previously unseen wildlife habitats.

Also, a variety of storylines have been introduced in this series. They range from tales of hidden animals around us, such as the raccoon dogs and goshawks of Tokyo to the social problems caused by environmental change.
